The photos online of the “silver” color looked metallic, even sparkly. In real life the color is more like a gray, with no metallic quality. I ordered it as a gift for a family member headed off to college, so I cannot return it, there isn’t time to get a new one. The journal is otherwise beautiful, very high quality, lovely packaging and fast shipping. Just disappointed that the silver is actually gray. 🙁

I placed a monogram order as a gift and didn’t realize that, unlike many monograms where the last initial is centered in the middle, this would be a straight monogram. The only other comment I have is specific to the color ordered. I ordered this in Wildberry and the gift is red. Fortunately she loves the red, but it was confusing to realize she received a different color. The leather looks beautiful and she is delighted with the gift.

Royce was so helpful in assisting me pick the right colors for graduation gifts and the personalized journals were lovely. The closure tab requires some patience, at least when new, but this will probably be beneficial over time. The leather is soft with a padded feel, the included gold edged journal looks quite eloquent with the gold monogramming I chose and the included medium point blue inked pen made this both a beautiful and useful gift. Certainly a great gift to start that new chapter of life.
